    1. Concept brief

    The Entrepreneurship Development Programmes for Micro Entrepreneurs enables the candidates in strengthening their entrepreneurial motives and in acquiring skills and capabilities required for promoting and running an owned enterprise/start-up efficiently.


    The selected candidates are trained with following objectives:


    1. Stimulate them towards developing interest and involvement in learning

    2. Develop positive attitude through structured exercises

    3. Orient them towards acquiring knowledge and skill through practice

    4. Awareness on acquiring the entrepreneurial competencies (skill as well as attitude) through conscious efforts.

    5. Knowing about identifying the business opportunities, selection of an entrepreneurial activity,launching of the venture and skills for managing a micro Enterprise, to start with.

    6. Develop a mindset and urge to put the acquired knowledge and skills into action.

    7. Build confidence in one's own abilities.

    2. Progression Pathway

    Rural entrepreneurs are considered as agents of economic growth. Providing entrepreneurship development training to rural youth is an effective way to accelerate the pace of socio-economic development, balanced regional growth, and proper utilization of locally available resources. It can also promote gainful self-employment. For further progress participants can avail enterprise growth and skill up gradation qualifications also offered by HSDM.

    4. Milestones achieved under EDP initiative

    In pilot phase of EDP Skill training, HSDM through its training partner, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University; facilitated in providing training to 3,000 budding entrepreneurs through centres managed by CSC e-Governance Services India Limited. These trainings were conducted in 3 districts of Haryana namely Palwal, Gurugram & Faridabad resulting in 2,562 candidates getting successfully certified as per details presented below.

    1. Train the Trainer Workshops - 2 Workshops were organized by training partner, Shri Vishwakarma Skill University; on 12th July & 5th August 2019 at Gurugram, Haryana. A total of 66 trainers were certified at the end of the TTT to run the EDP program across the three districts.


    2. Number of micro-enterprises established by certified EDP candidates in the respective 3 districts add to 748 as per below.

    Training partner: Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Haryana

    Shri Vishwakarma Skill University is a State university established under Act 25 of 2016. The skill university facilitate and promotes skill, entrepreneurship development, skill based education and research in the emerging areas of manufacturing, information technology, textile, design, logistics and transportation, automation, agriculture, maintenance, etc. and to raise skill level in various fields related to these areas.
